what is raw food

raw live living food is food that has not been cooked over 115º so consequently it is still raw, e g in its natural state. any temperature above this one oficially ‘cooks’ the food killing all the enzymes.   the enzymes are what makes the food alive and are necessary in order to digest the food correctly.    what is also missing from cooked food is oxygen, a substancial amount of vitamins, minerals and water, important nutrients in order to build and maintain a strong and healthy body.

raw food, some times also called ‘living food’ because it has not been killed or destroyed by heat.    the word living food is specialy referred to the foods that are still growing when consumed such as germinated seeds and sprouts, germinated legumes, wild green herbs, wheat grass (the juice) algae and any foods that are taken from the earth, plant or tree.

raw food, living food, does not include, bread cereals, rice, pasta or any refined or processed products, canned, frozen, or microwaved.   another way to find out if these products are ‘alive’ is to ask yourself how long have they been on the shelf at the store, in the freezer or can, there you will have your answer.

david wolfe in his book ‘natures first law’ mentions the importance of the foods that have been cooked or refined and that this process is totally anti-natural and harmfull and goes completely against the laws of nature, and is also the first cause of all of our illnesses.   he continues to say that today thousands of healthy people across the world are a living example that raw food is saving humanity from devastating diseases.   90% of the food that the earth gives us has been totally destroyed without consciousness through the ‘cooking process’. the illnesses, obesity, depression, pollution etc are the reason why we consume cooked food. if you are ill eat exclusively raw foods and your illness will go away.  if you are over/underweight a living foods diet will give you back your ideal weight.    if you are suffering from depression eating raw live living foods will restore your happiness and vitality
